A group for sharing and organizing community resources in response to COVID-19. The goal of this group is to organize the local community on the grassroots level to ensure vulnerable community members have access to food, housing, healthcare, and other necessities


Seniors’ Centre Without Walls

The Senior’s Centre Without Walls provides free recreational activities over the phone with a group of other older adults in the community.

It gives you the opportunity to socialize and join in on Trivia, Family Feud, Finish the Lyrics, Brain Games, and Fitness Classes

Individuals on low working or low pension income who live in the City of Hamilton can access this. ○ Only OW and ODSP recipients living in the service area of Wellington St. to Parkdale Ave. and Cumberland Ave. to Burlington St. may have access to this service

Must provide an income statement, a rent receipt, proof of address, and photo ID

Hot (or frozen if you choose), nutritiously based three course meal

A salad, main course including meat, potato and vegetable, plus dessert

Delivered between 1130am and 1pm

Grocer-Ease Program

Takes individualized grocery lists from clients, shops in the store of client’s choice, and if required puts the groceries away upon delivery 35

COVID-19 has created a heavy demand, a wait list has been created to facilitate demand ○ Cost: Service - $11 for first $100 of groceries, $2.50 for each additional $25 of groceries
