On April 4th, 2022, Lynne Slotek, Oasis 400 Volunteer Committee Chair, accepted a Community Hero Award at a virtual award ceremony hosted by Jill Andrew, MPP for Toronto-St. Paul’s. Dr. Andrew thanked Oasis 400 member Gay, for nominating Oasis 400 and thanked Lynne and Oasis 400 for making life better for people in Toronto, especially during Covid-19.
Lynne was honoured to join other Community Heroes. In her acceptance speech, Lynne spoke about the Oasis 400 programs and activities offered by a group of dedicated resident volunteers. She specifically thanked the Volunteer Committee members and all the Oasis 400 volunteers, current and past, who do amazing things to create and build community at Oasis 400 - Toronto. Community Heroes all!
